Information

The power of the sub-conscious mind should never be under-estimated, problems that may be of very long standing can affect us in many ways. A forgotten incident some times from as far back as your childhood may cause you problems in later life, long after the event is over and forgotten.

Once a trigger is created in the subconscious it can be difficult to bring it to the surface and to deal with it; and often near impossible on your own.

While most of us take care of things like our teeth with visits to a dentist (if we don't have a phobia but if so we can work on that!) we may not take such good care of our minds. Just as you would seek the help of a professional if you had a toothache help is at hand to give you the attention you need to help resolve issues that may have been holding you back or bothering you.

I was trained at The Kent Institute of Clinical Hypnosis based at Benenden Hospital and tutored by Stephen Wilson founder of Depression UK and Silent Cry, under the supervision of the highly respected Hypnotherapist Terence Watts who wrote the best selling and widely used publication Warriors Settlers and Nomads along with many other important publications. Terence Watts has invited me to join him at The Essex Institute from January 2010 to assist him with his teaching classes.

Fully covered by professional indemnity insurance and am I am a member of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP), which is based in England and which has members all over the world.  What sets this  organisation apart from most of the numerous other hypnotherapy organisations is the fact that every single member has been personally interviewed before being invited to join and/or has received comprehensive training by a school whose standards have been rigorously investigated. I am also a member of The Hypnotherapy Association and The National Council of Psychotharapists (NCP)

Hypnotherapy FAQ's

Q. What exactly is hypnosis?

A. Hypnosis is simply a natural and heightened state of relaxation where your body becomes wonderfully relaxed and your mind intensely focused, often with heightened awareness. It is a safe and completely non-addictive.

Q. Will I be under your control in any way?

A .No - hypnosis is a voluntary state which you can leave whenever you want to and you would most certainly not be under my control in any way!

Q. So – I couldn't get stuck in hypnosis then?

A. No – that’s absolutely impossible!

Q. Could my mind be too strong for this to work?

A. Strong minds are great! It means you will be able to focus more clearly.

Q. Will I be unconscious or in a daze of some sort?

A. You will not be unconscious or in a daze quite the opposite in fact.

 Q. Is it safe to drive afterward?

A. It will be perfectly safe for you to drive immediately after your session.

Q. Will I know I’m hypnotised and how will it feel?

A. You probably won’t ‘feel’ hypnotised. Most people don’t – in fact it’s very common for people to say ‘I didn’t go under’.

Q. Will I blurt out my darkest secrets ?

A. Not unless you choose to!

Q. Is my session with you confidential?

A. Of course
