Hypnobirthing & Auricular Acupuncture
To understand Auricular (or ear) Acupuncture you have to imagine the ears as a switchboard that is connected to the brain. There are 200 acupuncture points on the ears, when the ear is treated with a small pin thinner than a human hair, a message is sent in the form of electrical impulses to the brain, the brain then processes the impulses and transmits energy to the targeted anotomical area.
This is a very sophisticated mechanism that aids the body in a natural healing process. It is possible, for example, to help relieve pain and stiffness in the joints such as hip and shoulders by stimulating the point in the ear that corresponds to that area. It can help organs like the liver, lung and kidneys to function more efficiently and because it only works in a theraputic way it cannot harm healthy parts of the body.
