Among other things habits, fears and phobias, stress and anxiety are all things that can get out of hand.  A realisation that things need to change is a great place to start!

There are many ways hypnotherapy can help when you want to make changes and get areas of your life on an even keel again.  As a practitioner who has trained in many different methods and disciplines I can call on many interesting ways of working with you...  Like NLP, stress management, cognitive behavioural coaching, business coaching and work related stress management, hypno-analysis, psychotherapy and BWRT.  This means that you have the very best chance of getting exactly the help you want, allowing you to simply get on with your life.

There may be habits that you wish you could break, fears holding you back or anxiety and stress you need to find better ways of coping with, it may be your relationship or sex life could do with looking at, these are all areas and many others not mentioned here that I deal with often with my clients.

Here are just a few of the things I regularly deal with

  • Smoking: Clients often come to see me for help to quit smoking and the therapy I use has been popular for many years, due to its high success rate. Some surveys, notably one in New Scientist Issue No 136 have shown hypnosis to be one of the most effective methods of quitting. No drugs are used and there are no unpleasant side effects; many people experience no withdrawal symptoms and little or no craving, so if you're determined to kick the habit, it REALLY CAN HELP. A single 90 minute session is all that is necessary.
  • Stress and Anxiety: Hypnosis is of enormous help in reducing stress and/or anxiety levels, though there are two distinctly different methods of treatment. Whether you need help for a 'one-off' situation like a driving test, for example, or a more persistent and possibly deeper-rooted problem, Hypnotherapy can help you. The best method for any individual can really only be determined by consultation, many people finding that two or three sessions, spread over a month or so, are sufficient.
  • Fears and Phobias: When you have a fear or phobia that you really cannot get to grips with however hard you try, no amount of well-intentioned 'help' from friends or family is likely to solve the problem - it can even make things worse. Although it may seem impossible to you now, hypnotherapy can help to remove the problem so that you could simply forget it ever existed in the first place. Using only the right sort of therapy means that you won't replace one fear with another, either.

It is often believed that the only way to overcome deep-rooted fears is to somehow 'face up' to the feared experience. You may rest assured that this is simply not the case and you will therefore not be subjected to any type of exposure therapy.

Don't underestimate the power of the mind

The power of the sub-conscious mind should never be under-estimated, problems that may be of very long standing can affect us in many ways. A forgotten incident some times from as far back as your childhood may cause you problems in later life, long after the event is over and forgotten.

Once a trigger is created in the subconscious it can be difficult to bring it to the surface and to deal with it; and often near impossible on your own.

While most of us take care of things like our teeth with visits to a dentist (if we don't have a phobia but if so we can work on that!) we may not take such good care of our minds. Just as you would seek the help of a professional if you had a toothache help is at hand to give you the attention you need to help resolve issues that may have been holding you back or bothering you.
